All bookings through Mauri Travel (UK) Ltd. are protected by a new insurance product called Supplier Failure Cover. It means if the supplier of any aspects of your holiday delays your departure, cancels, or goes into liquidation your costs of replacing those aspects are covered. With most other schemes you are only protected up to the price you originally paid, and so if an airline collapsed and you had to book alternative flights at a higher price, you would have to pay the difference. With our FREE Supplier Failure Cover (SFC) this cost is covered.

Weddings and Honeymoons in Mauritius

"You gather the idea that Mauritius was made first and then heaven - and that heaven was copied after Mauritius ". These words of Mark Twain are high praise indeed, but luckily for us Mauritius is easier to get to than heaven and we are here to help you on your way.

Do whatever it takes, Mauritius is the ultimate beach holiday and you must go there.

Mauritius is known for its exotic charm; magically combining natural beauty with modern comforts. Here you can languish in Mauritian hotels - world class palaces that hug the coast of Mauritius, an island of only 1865 square kilometres with 330 kilometres of Mauritius coastline.

The Touessrok Hotel, the One & Only St. Geran, Le Meridien, The Hilton, Maritim, Beau Rivage, Dinarobin, Paradise Cove, Royal Palm, and The Residence seem better known than the island they inhabit, but then that is how Mauritius has chosen to distinguish itself from its formidable Indian Ocean neighbours: it reverses the notion of choose the destination, then the hotel.

Here you can languish in internationally world acclaimed hotels enjoying a wide range of facilities from a Givenchy Spa, Matt Roberts Gymnasium to a Championship golf course designed by Bernhard Langer - all in exquisite Mauritian locations.

In all there are more than 100 resorts hotels ranging from three-star to five-star plus. Each has a different character at a different price.

White sands, waving palms, a warm clear blue ocean, magnificent food, water skiing, scuba diving, big game fishing, paragliding, windsurfing, snorkeling, breathtaking scenery and Mauritian hospitality awaits you. For Mauritian hospitality comes naturally; it is one of the reasons the hotels are so good.

The stylish resorts of Mauritius offer excellent value. Mauritius cuisine is as cosmopolitan as its culture. Expect the finest with skilled chefs producing international dishes. In Mauritius you can let your taste travel over the five continents without leaving the table!

Mauritius is well known for its lavish and tasteful Mauritius weddings and honeymoons or for celebrating an anniversary. You will discover that Mauritius is quiet, romantic yet exhilarating. There is truly something for everyone.

What more can I say, just go to Mauritius.

Excursion in Mauritius:

The Charm, natural beauty and tales of the South coast (Full day tour from 8:45/9:00 to 16:45/17:00 - Lunch included)

This excursion in the south of Mauritius will fascinate those visitors in quest of natural beauty, past historical sites as well as cultures and traditions. First stop at Le Morne, a small fishermen village where the majority of its inhabitants are descents of the black African slaves. The imposing mountain found there is evocative of the runaway slaves and their pains. The road running between the sea and the mountains offer unparalleled panoramic views: beautiful beaches and spectacular scenery.

Curepipe/ Grand Bassin/ Plaine Champagne and the Black River gorges (Full day tour from 8:45/9:00 to 16:45/17:00 Lunch included)

Curepipe is the second most important town in Mauritius. It is located on the highlands and is known for its moderate climate as well as for its elegant country mansions as witnessed by its Town Hall. There are many specialized shops that offer Chinese arts and crafts, exotic jewels, embroidery and souvenir items.

The second part of this excursion will bring you to Grand Bassin, a sacred lake and a place of pilgrimage for Mauritians of Hindu faith. You will then penetrate the deep interior of the island on the Plaine Champagne- Chamarel route, a thickly wooded and mountainous region which, scenically, is the most fascinating and the most spectacular in the whole island. Not to miss, the superb view of the deep plunging gorges at Black River and the small village of Chamarel renown for its 7 coloured earths and its beautiful water-fall.

The city of Port-Louis and the famous botanical garden at Pamplemousses (Full day tour from 8:45/9:00 to 16:45/17:00 - Lunch included)

Port-Louis, the capital of Mauritius is a city of remarkable contrasts teeming with a variety of faces of all religions and cultures present on the island. In the centre, La Place d’Armes and the Government Palace are remains of the colonial past ; whereas, a few meters ahead, everything is sold in a riot of colours: local handicrafts; spices from India; colorful T-Shirts and pareos as well as souvenir items are on display at the market place.

BIG GAME FISHING

This is a truly exciting experience. Mauritian waters are abound with a variety of fish, specially the blue and black marlins; dorados; yellow-fin tunas; wahoos; bonitos; sailfish and a lot more.

The best time for fishing is from November to April. Fully equipped boats, specially designed for big game fishing, are available for ½ day rental (07h00 to 13h00) or full day rental (07h00 to16h00). Each boat can carry a maximum of 4 anglers and 4 accompanying persons.
